When it comes to spreading warmth, joy, and delicious Thanksgiving meals during the holiday season, the 18th Annual Mission Possible Turkey Fry shines as a beacon of hope and compassion. Hosted by country sensation Tracy Lawrence, this annual charity event has become a Nashville tradition, bringing together the community to make a meaningful impact. T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc., for the third year in a row, has played a pivotal role as both a sponsor and participant.

For T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc., giving back to the community is more than just a yearly tradition; it’s a decades-long commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need. Our involvement in philanthropy goes far beyond the turkey fry event; we have been a dedicated partner of the Nashville Rescue Mission for over 10 years. Our partnership extends far beyond financial contributions, as demonstrated by the recent completion of the design and construction of the new Women’s campus for the mission. This new facility represents a safe and supportive space where vulnerable women in the Nashville area can find shelter, assistance, and a pathway to a better future.

The Mission Possible Turkey Fry, held at the Nashville Fairgrounds, is a remarkable display of community spirit and unity. With the help of approximately 250 volunteers, the event takes on the colossal task of frying an astonishing 1,200 turkeys. This massive culinary effort is driven by the shared goal of providing nourishing Thanksgiving meals to thousands of individuals and families across Middle Tennessee.

The Thanksgiving care packages prepared at the turkey fry are designed to feed a family of four and include not only the star of the show, the turkey, but also essential sides like stuffing, green beans, and corn. It’s a complete meal that captures the essence of Thanksgiving and ensures that those in need can experience the warmth and togetherness that the holiday embodies.

The impact of the Mission Possible Turkey Fry stretches far beyond the event itself. Thanks to the support of Tennessee’s Family Resource Center, the Thanksgiving care packages are distributed to eight surrounding cities and schools: Davidson County, Lebanon Special Schools, Murfreesboro City Schools, Robertson County Schools, Smith County Schools, Sumner County Schools, Trousdale County Schools, and Wilson County Schools. Additionally, several charitable organizations, including Safe Haven Family Shelter, Jesus Provision Ministries, All For Him Ministry, Brooks House, and Shady Acres Campground, receive these care packages, ensuring that a wide range of individuals and families in need benefit from this incredible initiative.

Tracy Lawrence’s non-profit organization, Mission: Possible, is at the heart of this compassionate endeavor. Beyond the turkey fry, the organization advocates for the homeless population in the Nashville area and beyond. Having raised over $2.5 million for this cause, Mission: Possible is making a substantial and lasting impact on the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

Tracy Lawrence’s heartfelt dedication to this cause is evident as he reflects on its evolution, saying, “As we found the need and this started, it came with no intentions and no vision about where it was going to go, just kind of organically became this thing.” His commitment to the mission is unwavering, and he believes that it has taken on a life of its own, one that he hopes will continue for a long time.

T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc.’s involvement in the Mission Possible Turkey Fry underscores our position as a pillar of community support. Our dedication to participating as both a sponsor and a team member for the third consecutive year demonstrates our commitment to making a meaningful difference during the holiday season and fulfilling our mission of creating a foundation for people to thrive.
