In 1993, T.W. Frierson successfully completed our first project with Bridgestone in Morrison, TN. This milestone marked the beginning of a remarkable partnership that has spanned over 25 years. Since then, we have collaborated on numerous projects across several divisions of Bridgestone, from Aiken, SC to the first headquarters relocation in Nashville, TN. Bridgestone is a key relationship that contributed significantly to our 95% repeat/referral client base. We take immense pride in this long-standing partnership and our successful projects.
HIGHLIGHTED PROJECTS
9000 Tire Per Day Facility in Morrison, TN
This extensive three-part project for Bridgestone involved significant expansions and enhancements to the Morrison, TN plant, which manufactures large radial tires for trucks and buses. Key aspects of the project included:
- – Construction of two large concrete trenches to support the extension of Bridgestone’s existing tire curing line and the addition of a new “BEI Train.”
- – A small building addition to the “Stock Preparation” area.
- – Installation of three large micropiles through each footing prior to trench construction, due to the need for excavating under four large column foundations.
The project encompassed a 202,000 square foot manufacturing area within a 31 foot tall heavy structural industrial building. This expansion included a new ban-bury area, a tire assembly area, and a curing area. Additionally, the project required the construction of 665 feet of large tunnels, some as wide as 60 feet and as deep as 25 feet.
Chassis Supply Expansion Project in Columbia, TN
This project involved a 43,000 square foot manufacturing and office addition to the existing facility, showcasing our ability to deliver complex expansions seamlessly.
Administrative & Engineering Office and Warehouse in Graniteville, SC
We completed the design and construction of the administration and engineering office building for their new tire manufacturing facility. The facility also includes an employee cafeteria, company store, exercise room, and meeting rooms. Our design build project delivery method saved Bridgeston over $1,000,000 compared to the original design bid build process.
Corporate Office Tenant Improvement in Nashville, TN
We successfully renovated the existing office tower, converting it into Bridgestone’s North American Headquarters. This project entailed the complete renovation of nine floors into new corporate offices, conference spaces, telecom rooms, and support spaces.
HQ Disaster Recovery in Nashville, TN
In 2001, we were called upon to assist in the cleanup efforts when the four-story headquarters was flooded due to a ruptured water line on the top floor. To ensure the headquarters became operational as soon as possible, our team and subcontractors worked thirteen consecutive 24-hour days. We also collaborated closely with a New York-based mold and mildew fumigation specialist and stationed our accountants on-site to procure materials and perform audits in conjunction with Bridgestone’s insurance adjuster.
