In collaboration with German automaker Daimler, Japan-based Nissan agreed to produce four-cylinder engines at their powertrain assembly campus in Decherd, Tennessee for use in Mercedes-Benz vehicles and their own Infiniti models manufactured in the U.S. NIssan's New Engine Machining and Assembly Plant enables production of up to 250,000 units per year at their existing Decherd campus.
