April 12, 2024 marked a momentous occasion for the Brentwood Academy community as leaders, parents, neighbors, and students gathered on campus for a groundbreaking ceremony symbolizing the next phase of the school’s visionary “Forward in Faith” initiative.

Headmaster Curt Masters welcomed attendees with a heartfelt prayer, setting the tone for a day of reflection and excitement. Selected students and faculty, embodying the essence of the academy’s ethos, shared scripture and personal insights, underscoring the profound significance of the impending campus enhancements.

In a symbolic gesture, key figures from Brentwood Academy and the wider community grasped branded shovels, poised to break ground and usher in a new era of growth and progress. “This is a significant day in Brentwood Academy history,” expressed Headmaster Curt Masters, “as we honor our past while eagerly embracing the promise of tomorrow.”

Central to the transformative vision are several key additions to the campus infrastructure. A new main entrance, strategically positioned on Granny White Pike, will not only enhance accessibility but also serve as a beacon of welcome and safety for families and visitors. With an accompanying traffic light at the intersection of Virginia Way and Granny White Pike, traffic flow will be streamlined, ensuring a seamless arrival experience. Moreover, the expansion will include an additional 60 parking spaces, addressing a longstanding need and facilitating greater convenience for all.

Among the most anticipated developments is the construction of a new on-campus chapel, slated to commence immediately. Crafted with glass and timber, this sacred space will accommodate 175 individuals, providing a sanctuary for spiritual nourishment and community gatherings. From student Bible studies to worship nights, parent events to professional development sessions, the chapel will serve as a focal point for spiritual enrichment and fellowship. “The chapel is more than just a structure,” emphasized Masters, “it embodies Brentwood Academy’s unwavering commitment to our faith and values.”

With construction beginning, anticipation is palpable throughout the Brentwood Academy community. The new entrance and parking spaces will not only enhance practical aspects of campus life but also symbolize a deeper commitment to the school’s mission nurturing and challenging each whole person – body, mind, and spirit – to the glory of God.
