Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church traces its roots to 1868, five years after the Emancipation Proclamation and three years after the end of the Civil War. The new 3,300-seat sanctuary is over three times larger than their previous worship capacity of 900. In addition to the expanded interiors consisting of the sanctuary, classrooms, fellowship hall and office suite, extensive site improvements provides parking for over 1,000 cars and allows easy access into the building via multiple entrances.
